Could you be the right fit for our board of trustees?
Like many arts organisations, Classical Sheffield is a charity that has a board of trustees that leads the long-term strategy of the organisation, ensures our finances and legal aspects are in order, and offers advice, expertise and support to members.
We are currently seeking new trustees who would like to be involved in our aim of bringing more music to more people in more places.
Having just celebrated our 2025 Classical Sheffield, now is a fantastic time to join the organisation as we look ahead and start planning for the Festival in 2027. We are also looking at ways of supporting members with more events throughout the year and encouraging collaborations between music-groups so that music-makers of all ages come together to present amazing concerts.
We think that the best organisations have a diversity of voices, so we welcome applications from anyone regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age. In particular we are keen to hear from people who feel they are under-represented in live classical music-making.

If you would like to know more about becoming a trustee of Classical Sheffield, please get in touch with Jo and Rose, the Coordinator stating your interest and why you’d like to join the board. We can then set up an informal chat for you to find out more about the organisation and answer any questions you may have.
The official nomination process happens at the AGM in November, but we are keen for people to get involved before then, and potential trustees are welcome to join the next board meeting, which is on Tuesday 15 July, 10:00-11:30.
