A Night at the Opera by Candlelight

London Concertante presents A Night at the Opera, one of its most popular programmes, in the magnificent candlelit surroundings of Sheffield Cathedral.

Four outstanding soloists, accompanied by a live orchestra, perform some of opera’s greatest arias, duets and ensembles. The programme features music by Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, Rossini and Bizet, from operas including The Magic Flute, La traviata, Carmen, Tosca, Turandot and The Barber of Seville.

Highlights include the exhilarating ‘Largo al factotum’, the seductive ‘Habanera’, the tender ‘O mio babbino caro’ and the soaring finale ‘Nessun dorma’.

Whether you are discovering opera for the first time or returning for another unforgettable evening, expect passion, drama, laughter and some of the most beautiful music ever written.

Doors open at 6:45pm. The concert lasts approximately two hours, including a short interval. A bar will be available before the performance and during the interval.
