Rich and mesmerising music, traversing continents, languages and cultures from Sheffield's all-star global collective.

Indian violin, Senegalese kora and Caribbean steelpans meld into the enchanting colours of Arabic oud and kawala flutes, the hypnotic drones of Indian tanpura and Brazilian berimbau. Coloured by inspirational vocals from the Sufi-soul singer Sarah Yaseen and Hebrew-Hindi vocalist Avital Raz, Rafiki Jazz's Crucible Studio debut also includes a new collaborative piece emerging from Music in the Round's World of Strings project.

Charles Ritchie (of Talking Gigs) hosts the first half of this concert, which will include informal introductions to the music, exploring the diverse influences and variety of instruments featured.
