For their final performance as Music in the Round’s ‘Bridge’ quartet, the Marmen Quartet launch the evening with effervescent works by Mozart and Haydn.
Brahms’ Op.51 quartets were the first works for this formation that he was willing to publish, even then after a period of immense doubt – he actually described the pair as “written for the second time.” It was well worth waiting!
