A Concert of Chinese Music

Wenyi is a talented qin performer and has presented solo performances internationally. She started to learn the qin with Professor Dai Xiaolian at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SHCM) when she was seven. Wenyi is a Gold Medal winner of the "National Qin Competition" in China. In collaboration with Chinese traditional Orchestra of SHCM, Wenyi first performed several qin concerto from leading and modern composers.

Dr Shu Jiang is from a family of folk musicians and has learnt guzheng since her childhood. She completed her musical training at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, China and the University of Sheffield, UK. As an active Chinese musician, Shu has a wide repertoire of Chinese music, and is now continuing her musical journey working alongside a range of folk, rock and Indian classical musicians in the world.
