An evening of music for piano, for wind quintet and for both together!

A truly varied evening of classical and modern music for solo piano, for wind quintet and for all six together. Sheffield-based concert pianist, Kaoru Bingham, will perform alongside another group of local musicians, the Muskoka Wind Quintet.

On the piano, there will be music by Chopin and Rachmaninov, as well as by the contemporary British composer, Nick Ray. The quintet will perform pieces by the Hungarian composer Fernec Farkas, and you can get your toes tapping to the wonderful Dance Suite by Norman Hallam.

All six players will give you the chance to enjoy the brilliant but rarely performed sextet by Frederic Poulenc. Tickets will be available on the door and prices include a programme and interval refreshments.

Kaoru Bingham (Piano) and Muskoka Wind Quintet (oboe, flute, clarinet, bassoon, horn)

  • Poulenc: Sextet
  • Chopin: Preludes Nos. 13 & 14 and Ballade No 4
  • Nick Ray: Recollections and Phoenix
  • Rachmaninov: Prelude No. 4
