From your ever loving son, Jack
Surprising and deeply moving stories from a wartime soldier
Follow the story of young war volunteer, Jack Ellicott, on his difficult journey from initial training to the Battle of the Somme through his letters tracing the joys and sorrows of life as an ordinary soldier.
Featuring the enchanting voice of tenor Joshua Ellicott (Jack’s great-nephew) and pianist Paul Janes. Songs by Bridge, Ireland and Debussy are interspersed with dramatic readings from the letters sent by the 19-year-old Jack to his parents.
This is a Pay What You Think concert: you pay nothing to attend the concert and then are asked to ‘pay what you think’ once the concert is finished. Payments can be made by cash or text message. Front of House staff will be around to help with any questions you might have.
