Hallam Sinfonia String Quartet

Hallam Sinfonia
Group type: Orchestras

Splendid Strings in the Sun

Hallam Sinfonia, (one of the brilliant amateur orchestras based here in Sheffield,) will shrink from nearly 60 members to just four of our string players for this Sunday morning concert. Expect a few string quartet favourites such as Faurés Pavane and arrangements of some French opera classics to compliment the “Belle Époque” theme running through the festival. But there will also be some lovely lively Vivaldi and even a few hearty Hungarian dances to wake everyone up.

The players are John Cooper and Paul Schatzberger (violins), Helen Mather (viola), and Charlie Hardwick (cello).
