Man with a movie camera
Following a sell-out performance last year, Laurène Durantel revisits her wonderful improvised accompaniment to the acclaimed film Man With a Movie Camera.
Dziga Vertov’s 1929 film, part documentary and part cinematic art, follows city life in the Soviet Union through the course of a single day. It’s a celebration of modern life - a brave new world? – with thriving industries, crowded streets, and intimate, disarming moments of great humour and pathos.
“Incredible event, an amazing opportunity to experience a really special combination of film and musical performance“ Edward Lawrence, Audience Member, May 2017
