Sheffield Bach Choir present Handel's masterpiece

Handel's wonderful oratorio Messiah is a favourite among concert-lovers the world over, and tickets are likely to be in short supply for this rendition, featuring as it does the wonderfully talented Sheffield soprano Ella Taylor and the exquisite counter tenor David Allsopp, supported by tenor David Brown and bass Quentin Brown. Anyone who loves to hear exceptional solo singing will be well rewarded!

The Bach Choir and the National Festival Orchestra present this work in Sheffield every year, resulting in a familiarity that comes across in what is always an excellent performance. The Choir is proud of, and profoundly grateful for, the considerable support provided to a now traditional retiring collection at the close of the evening in aid of the Cathedral’s acclaimed Archer Project for those undergoing difficult times in their lives.

Sheffield Bach Choir (Choir), Simon Lindley (Conductor), Ella Taylor (Soprano), David Allsopp (Counter Tenor), David Brown (Tenor), Quentin Brown (Bass), National Festival Orchestra (Orchestra) and Alan Horsey (Continuo)
