The multi-award-winning "queen of the baroque violin" comes to Sheffield to perform Bach, Handel and Vivaldi.
Multi-award-winning violinist Rachel Podger has been hailed by The Sunday Times as the “queen of the baroque violin.” She is in huge demand worldwide as a recitalist, soloist and guest leader with numerous renowned ensembles including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Portland Baroque and Tafelmusik. Rachel’s own group, Brecon Baroque, recently toured Japan and made its Edinburgh Festival debut.
In this concert Rachel is joined by harpsichordist Peter Seymour for an evening of irresistibly attractive music by the three giants of Baroque music.
