A diverse programme of music from the Renaissance to the present day

Violin and cello duo Lucy Phillips and Jonny Ingall are passionate about introducing their audiences to lesser-known works. In this concert they will perform joyful music for springtime by Giordani and Aubert, and movements from Ravel's beautiful Sonata for violin and cello. They share the concert with the versatile Black Velvet Clarinet Quartet, who will present popular 20th-century pieces and a March for William Byrd transcribed for their ensemble. A wonderful variety of music, and cakes during the interval!
