Swansong
Roderick Williams, Music in the Round’s Singer-in-Residence, completes his survey of Schubert’s song cycles with Schwanengesang, a sequence of 13 contrasting songs from the close of Schubert’s life that were published and collectively named Swansong posthumously.
“Mr Williams imbued each song with myriad colourful nuances, his rich, burnished baritone lovely throughout the evening.” New York Times
