'Twas the Night Before Christmas
A Programme of Autumn and not-quite-Christmas music
As Autumn draws to a close to give way to winter we explore some of the songs associated with darkening days and sleepiness. Christmas starts far to early in the commercial world, so the second half of the programme uncovers music associated with Advent and the Mother of Jesus in the lead up to Christmas.
Performers
Elizabeth Charlesworth (soprano) and Hugh Finnigan (piano)
