Concerteenies: Cello/piano (0-2s, siblings welcome)
Live music with sensory elements for young children and their grown-ups
Join Tim Smedley (cello), Annabelle Lawson (piano) and Polly Ives (cello) for a concert including music by Mendelssohn, Shostakovich and Vivaldi. With bubbles, percussion, props and informal introductions, this is a fun and informal gig for adults and their young children.
Tim performs and records regularly with orchestras such as the Hallé, Manchester Camerata, RLPO and CBSO. He also plays on period instruments with ensembles including the Orchestra of the Age of the Enlightenment, Arcangelo, the Academy of Ancient Music and The King's Consort. He regularly plays as principal cello with the Northern Chamber Orchestra and has also worked extensively with leading string quartets such as the Fitzwilliam Quartet and the Saconni Quartet. Alongside his performing career, Tim is Head of Strings at King's College School, Wimbledon and lives happily in Greystones with his wife Rachel and three young children. Together (or usually, when Tim is off doing a concert elsewhere), they are regular attendees of Concerteenies!
