Live music and storytelling for 3 & 4 year olds

Join Naomi Atherton (horn), James Manson (double bass) and narrator Polly Ives for a musical story of the Nutcracker including extracts from Tchaikovsky's ballet. This is a concert giving adults and children the unique opportunity to hear quality live music up-close with singing, bubbles, percussion, props, informal introductions and storytelling.

Polly Ives presents children's concerts around the UK with groups including London Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensemble 360, London Mozart Players, Royal Opera House. She has worked with CBeebies and the Beatrix Potter Attraction. She has led numerous education projects with Music in the Round, including a series of musical stories in Sheffield this May and is currently a lead musician in a project in 18 nurseries in the South East of Sheffield. She has coached the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain, CSYO and has worked with Sheffield Music Hub, Sheffield Music School and is Chair of Sheffield Young Singers. She also is founder and director of Concerteenies and has a 9 month old and a 3 year old. www.facebook.com/musicwithpollyives.

Naomi and Jamie are highly experienced professional musicians who perform to people of all ages around the UK and further afield! They work regularly with Manchester Camerata, Ensemble 360 and Northen Chamber Orchestra. They are part of the hugely popular children's concerts by Carrot Productions including The Snowman and Wallace and Grommet, as seen at Sheffield's City Hall.

These concerts are designed for 3 & 4 year olds (siblings are welcome).

TICKETS

Adults £7.50/ 1st child free/ additional children £2/ under 6months free/ (in advance - booking fees apply). When booking your ticket, please also order your free tickets.

Pre-sales end at 6pm the evening before the concert.

INFO FOR ON THE DAY

- Main pub doors and Backroom doors open at 10am.

- No need to print your ticket. Just tell us your name on the door.

- Free tea, coffee and biscuits are provided (the bar will be selling food and drinks after the concert)

- You are responsible for the safety of your own children and belongings.

- Buggies can be left in the main bar and we encourage you to put coats and bags on the stage area.

- There is nappy changing facilities and feel free to breastfeed.

- This is a listening concert so we encourage you to not chat throughout so your fellow audience members and little ones can really enjoy the music.
