The internationally renowned German pianist and conductor Lars Vogt performs Brahms, Janacek and Beethoven in his first recital at the Crucible Studio.

Lars first rose to prominence at the 1990 Leeds International Piano Competition and has gone on to give major concerto and recital performances with many of the world’s greatest orchestras, including the Berlin, Vienna, New York and London Philharmonic orchestras.

Featuring Beethoven’s famous Appassionata Sonata, Janáček’s stunning In the Mists cycle and (a personal passion of Lars) the music of Brahms, this promises to be a truly spellbinding event!

“All music, be it with one musician, a trio or quintet, a chamber orchestra or symphony orchestra, is far more about intensity, energy and intimacy than about volume.” Lars Vogt

Programme

  • BRAHMS: Three Intermezzi Op.117
  • BRAHMS: Four Klavierstücke Op.119
  • BRAHMS: Variations on a Theme by Paganini Op.35
  • JANÁČEK: In the Mists
