A return visit to the Crucible Studio by the young, award-winning Piatti Quartet

“Our ‘in the round’ concert in Sheffield in 2013 is still one of our favourite concerts of all time! We especially loved the intimate connection we felt with the audience while performing and can’t wait to return this spring.” Jessie Ann Richardson (Cello), Piatti Quartet

The Piatti Quartet first came to Sheffield fresh out of music college and won over the audience with its magnificent performance. Six years later, the quartet has toured the world, won distinguished prizes at Wigmore Hall’s International String Quartet Competition and held prestigious fellowships at both the Royal Academy of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

They return to the Crucible Studio to perform Mendelssohn’s last major work, Frank Bridge’s beautiful set of short Idylls and a Beethoven quartet inspired by “contemplating the sky and thinking of the music of the spheres”.

Post-concert conversation, free
All ticket holders are invited to stay on for an informal Q&A session with members of the Piatti Quartet after the concert.
