Live Music for young children and their grown ups with sensory engagement

Join multi-instrumentalists Mambo Jambo and narrator Polly Ives for a musical story of Giraffes Can't Dance by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker Rees. This is a concert giving young children (and their grown-ups) the unique opportunity to hear quality live music up-close with singing, bubbles, percussion, props, informal introductions and storytelling.

Mambo Jambo might just be the biggest acoustic duo you'll ever see, a truly unique two-piece with their own rhythmic and joyful sound, a dozen or more instruments, male/female harmony vocals, a friendly stage presence, and a seemingly endless variety of roots, world, folk and jazz styles up their sleeves, Pete and Frankie have been gathering admirers at shows and festivals the length and breadth of the country. A fabulous musical treat is in store wherever they roll up, their tour bus packed to the brim with sax, guitars, banjo, clarinet, flute, accordion, Cuban tres, Brazilian ukulele, all kinds of percussion including suitcase and spoons, plus another instrument or two if they find room, all expertly played!

Polly Ives presents children's concerts around the UK with groups including London Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensemble 360, London Mozart Players, Royal Opera House. She has worked with CBeebies and the Beatrix Potter Attraction. She has led numerous education projects with Music in the Round, including annual tours of story concerts touring the UK and is currently a lead musician in a project in 18 nurseries in the South East of Sheffield. She has coached the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain, CSYO and has worked with Sheffield Music Hub, Sheffield Music School and is Chair of Sheffield Young Singers. She also is founder and director of Concerteenies and has a 1 year old and a 3 year old.

This concerts is designed for 3 & 4 year olds (siblings are welcome).
