in:spire with... is privileged to be hosting this Sheffield-based, world-class men's Barbershop chorus. Gold medal winners of the 2019 National Barbershop Championships, this group will present an eclectic set of Barbershop numbers with their customary charm, charisma and polish.
The evening will have an informal vibe and will be followed by wine and nibbles. The event is free of charge, although a donation of £8 (cash) on the door would be welcomed. Doors open at 6.30pm.
BIOGRAPHY – HALLMARK OF HARMONY
Hallmark of Harmony is a men’s chorus, who sing in the four-part, close-harmony Barbershop style. Based in Sheffield, we celebrated our fortieth Anniversary in 2018. In addition to singing as a fun hobby and entertaining audiences across the UK, we take part in many competitions. Having achieved Gold Medal at the Barbershop National Championships on eight occasions, we are the current 2019 champions. This has earned us an invitation to once again represent the UK at the International Championships in 2020. We are proud to have as many as eighty chorus members representing our club. These includes several talented musicians who arrange songs for us, together with our qualified coaches. Our active policy of welcoming fresh members has proved successful in attracting both new and established singers, from a diverse range of singing styles. We have an exciting calendar programme ahead of us, building on recent collaborations with not only Barbershop groups, but also community choirs, local musical groups and youth orchestras in Sheffield.
