Summer Concert: Scheherazade
A night of stunning romantic Russian orchestral music
For our closing concert of the 2019-20 we're delighted to welcome brand new guest conductor Ellie Slorach, a rising star based in the North West.
She'll be conducting a fantastic programme of vibrant and powerful pieces by Russian composers including Mussorgsky's ever-popular 'Night On A Bare Mountain', 'The Isle of the Dead' by Rachmaninov and concluding with Rimsky-Korsakov's dazzling colourful and lyrical interpretation of the Arabian Nights 'Scheherazade'.
