Mezzo-sprano Anna Huntley joins Ensemble 360 for an evening of chamber music and song

Turbulence and beauty mingle in this dramatic programme. Schubert’s Auf dem Strom (On the River) is dominated by thoughts of Beethoven, including a quote from the Eroica Symphony in tribute to the great man. Respighi’s gloriously expressive Il Tramonto is a setting of Shelley’s romantic love story The Sunset. Despite its name, the Serioso Quartet is impetuous, ending with some of the swiftest and most exhilarating music ever written for string quartet.
