American rising stars, violinist Randall Goosby and pianist Jonathan Ware, make their Crucible Studio debut supported by the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT).

Randall has performed as a soloist with orchestras including the New York Philharmonic and The Cleveland, and we are delighted to showcase this duo ahead of their debut at London’s Wigmore Hall later in the month. They perform Strauss’s popular early sonata and William Grant Still’s Suite (1943), an engaging work inspired by the composer’s Afro-American heritage.

YCAT supports exceptional young musicians and has helped launch the careers of Joanna MacGregor, Ian Bostridge and Ensemble 360’s Amy Harman, among many others. Randall is YCAT’s inaugural Robey Artist, in partnership with London Music Masters.
