An evening of Mozart, Schubert, and Beethoven

An enchanting evening of string trio music from the classical period, performed by Trio Muller. Consisting of international artists from Germany, Paraguay, and the United Kingdom. They appear in the Leeds International Concert Series before making their performance in Sheffield.

Mozart's momentous Divertimento in E Flat major consisting of no less than six movements, was described by Albert Einstein as "a true chamber-music work, and grew to such large proportions only because it was intended to offer something special in the way of art, invention, and good spirits. Each instrument is primus inter pares, every note is significant, every note is a contribution to spiritual and sensuous fulfilment in sound."

Alongside is Schubert's delightful little trio D.471 trio in B Flat major, and Beethoven's energetic Op.9 No.3 in C minor. The latter being the final of three trios written by the 28 year old Beethoven, which he considered at the time to be his finest compositions.
