The Sterndale Singers return to live performance with one of the best loved works for chamber choir - Faure Requiem - in the sublime acoustics of St Marie's Cathedral

Following the Government’s response to the Parliamentary Petition (which was started following the guidance restricting the number of amateur singers able to sing together to six) which recognises that “some amateur groups perform in professional contexts…” and “…the limits do not apply to activity taking place for work or commercial activity" the Sterndale Singers are delighted to announce that they will be performing Gabriel Fauré’s sublime Requiem on Saturday 26th June in St Marie’s Cathedral under the direction of Robert Webb with Baritone Peter Taylor in memory of all those we have lost during the Pandemic. This will be their first concert since February 2020.

The concert will take place with restrictions still in place and therefore tickets are limited and should be booked through the choir’s website www.sterndalesingers.org Booking your ticket is free, but there will be a £1 entrance fee on the door.

The concert will also include some pieces to celebrate the return to live singing.
