Concerteenies at Yorkshire Silent Film Festival

Concerteenies is thrilled to be part of Yorkshire Silent Film Festival’s spring season! YSFF presents live-scored film across Yorkshire; musicians create music ‘in the moment’ as they watch the screen along with the audience, so every performance is different, and every score is a unique, unrepeatable live event.

Come and meet the magical, disappearing musicians of Symphonie Bizarre (1909), laugh along with Walt Disney’s Oswald The Lucky Rabbit - and join in by creating sounds for the films along with the musicians. Concerteenies presenter Polly Ives will introduce the films and the music and there will be additional sensory elements like scarves and bubbles to wow the young children… and their grown-ups!

These performances are most suitable for children aged 2-10, but all ages are welcome. You might like to bring a cushion/booster seat. Spaces are limited, so book soon to avoid disappointment!

Learn more about YSFF via their website.

This performance will take place in a specially-created, intimate cinema space on the stage of the historic Abbeydale Picture House, which unfortunately does not have access for buggies or wheelchairs. We apologise for the inconvenience.
