Sheffield Chamber Music Festival returns to its Crucible Studio home with a live audience for the first time in two years.

This year for the first time, the Festival has had a guest curator working with Music in the Round and their resident musicians Ensemble 360 to create a dazzling programme of events.

The award-winning composer Helen Grime MBE has pulled together a show-stopping variety of concerts for you to enjoy. Rarely-performed chamber works and arrangements by some of Helen's favourite composers - from Ravel to Byrd - sit alongside cornerstones of the chamber repertoire by Brahms, Beethoven and Chopin. Frequently overlooked gems by female composers appear in every concert too, including works by Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Judith Bingham, Rebecca Clarke and Judith Weir.

There are even plans for a breath-taking sunrise concert at 5.15am on Sunday 15 May in the Samuel Worth Chapel, which is followed later that same day by a sunset concert, when Ensemble 360 will be joined by some of Sheffield's most promising young musicians as well as Sheffield Chamber Choir. And a starry roster of guest musicians will be joining the Festival this year too, including guitarist Sean Shibe, soprano Ruby Hughes, folk superstar Karine Polwart and the genre-defying Bastard Assignments.
