"A Garland of Flowers"
A concert of Choral Music inspired by Nature
The Sterndale Singers' Summer Concert this year is "A Garland of Flowers" a feast of choral music which mentions flowers and other aspects of nature.
The programme includes Madrigals such as "Flora gave me fairest flowers" by John Wilbye and "Though Amaryllis dance in green" by William Byrd; English part songs such as "I praise the tender flower" by Gerald Finzi; "Les fleurs et les arbres" by Saint Seans and much, much more.
