olde music in a new guise

Elizabeth Kenwood studied oboe at the Royal Academy of Music, Rotterdam Conservatorium & the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada. She won many prizes & held scholarships from the Countess of Munster & Rotary International. Her oboe teachers included Evelyn Rothwell Barbirolli, Tess Miller & George Caird. She has performed in Canada, throughout Europe, toured South East Asia for the British Council, & has visited Ukraine six times to give recitals, teach in conservatoires & music schools & adjudicate for the Dmitro Byda International Woodwind Competition.She has performed throughout the UK for Music Societies & has performed a bass oboe recital at the International Double Reed Society Annual Conference. She plays with orchestras as a free-lance player ( including the Sheffield Bach Choir ) and teaches woodwind with a double reed specialism in schools throughout West Yorkshire.

Peter Reasbeck studied piano with Elsie Werren in Doncaster and music at Doncaster Grammar School, before reading classics at Durham and theology at Cambridge. As a Methodist minister for over 40 years, he continued to develop his musical abilities and has specialised in accompaniment for lieder & in playing the organ for church services. In retirement he is active as an accompanist for vocal & instrumental soloists & choirs. He has many interests including gardening, bee-keeping and Leeds Rhinos.

Since 2014, the Kenwood-Reasbeck Duo has given recitals in many places, mainly in East ,West and South Yorkshire, including Wakefield and Sheffield cathedrals, Rawdon Amnesty Series and Southport. Other venues to come, including Chester.
