My heart is like a singing bird
Classical, traditional and popular songs and melodies, including music by Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Roger Quilter, Michael Head and Ivor Novello.
As the joyful sounds of summer birdsong are replaced by sombre thoughts, as the scent of lilacs evokes memories of past love and a far away homeland, autumn begins. Then happy songs lift the spirits and lighten the mood until once more the birds return, singing optimistic songs of love. Our programme is a mixture of songs, duets and piano pieces from a wide range of musical genres that we hope will be pleasing to the ear.
Performers
