City of Sheffield Teachers' Choir

A community of amateur singers, from all walks of life - not just teachers!

We are a friendly group of amateur singers, from all walks of life - not all teachers - who will give you lots of encouragement to help you improve your singing skills (so you need not be an experienced sight-reader). You will have great fun bringing music to venues around the Sheffield area.

We sing a wide range of music: sacred pieces, opera choruses, anthems, Christmas carols and songs, spirituals, traditional and folk songs, Gilbert and Sullivan, songs from the shows and many other well known and not-so-well known pieces.

Come along and join us at any rehearsal. No obligation, no audition- just a welcome and a chance to listen or join in. We meet on Thursdays in term time at St Mary’s Church Centre, Bramall Lane, 7-9pm

How to get involved

If you are someone who wants to sing, and have the commitment expected in belonging to any successful organisation, please speak to anyone in the choir, send us a message or contact the Conductor, Ralph Green, via our website.
