Classical Sheffield Seek an Administrator

If you'd like more experience with a growing arts admin organisation...read on!

Classical Sheffield is seeking to recruit an Administrator to help with the running of the organisation as the current Administrator is stepping down.

The role is voluntary and unpaid but provides a wonderful opportunity for an individual with an interest in classical music to support the continuing development of Classical Sheffield.

In the space of a few years Classical Sheffield has grown to become Sheffield’s pre-eminent classical music organisation with charitable status, 65 member groups and individuals, an extremely popular website with weekly event mailings, and three immensely successful Classical Weekend Festivals that have reached thousands of individuals, many of whom are new to classical music.

The main functions of the Administrator are to provide support to the Board of Trustees, facilitate the work of the Classical Sheffield Subgroups, and communicate with Members, donors and the Charity Commission – providing the ‘glue’ that helps make Classical Sheffield cohesive and effective. An outline role specification is attached.

The role would be ideal for somebody with an enthusiasm for classical music and good communication and keyboard skills (email, Word and Excel) – and able to commit to about 5 hours per week for most of the year, with more hours required in the run up to the next Classical Weekend in 2021.

For further information or to discuss the role, please email Steve Terry at a.classicalsheffield@gmail.com
