Teresa Mckendrick
Mezzo-soprano Teresa Mckendrick’s current interests as a soloist include English song (particularly repertoire typically performed by baritones). She also enjoys recording and performing new and contemporary music, in collaboration with composers: recent highlights include the premiere of Thomas Stearn’s song cycle Where Light is a Thought in April 2026, and several performances of Anna Appleby’s song cycle From the River. Teresa is always open to hearing from anyone in need of a mezzo- particularly for projects of this nature!
Outside of her solo performing, Teresa is an avid choral musician, who is currently learning to conduct with the University of Sheffield Singer’s Society. She has previously been involved in musical directing and arranging for a number of ensembles in both Sheffield and her hometown, Reading.
Teresa is in her final year studying English and Music at the University of Sheffield. She currently studies classical singing with Emily Howard Cobley, having previously achieved her DipLCM in Classical Voice under Suzanne Newman. She looks forward to remaining in Sheffield after her graduation to work and pursue her interests as a performer.
