Sheffield International Concert Season

Classical music has been an integral part of the programming of Sheffield City Hall since the building opened over 80 years ago in 1932. We are proud to be the home of Sheffield International Concert Season and welcome a range of the finest soloists, most revered orchestras and highly regarded conductors to the city each year.

Over the years the City Hall has been honoured to welcome some of the most prestigious orchestras in the World, including the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Symphony Orchestra and BBC Philharmonic, as well as our Orchestra in Residence the Hallé.
