SUMMARY:Sky Above The Clouds: New music that rises above the everyday
DESCRIPTION:Each piece in this concert has something to do with the individual and the collective. Sometimes they are opposed (Can we have an A\, please?); sometimes they morph from separation to togetherness (Single Numbers). But what they all have in common is an aspiration to rise above the petty distractions of the everyday into something bigger and more all-encompassing – the sky above the clouds \nThis concert is part of Contemporary Music for All’s Festival of Contemporary Music. An adventurous series of events taking place around the UK and internationally in March: See all Festival events. \nTickets are £8 or £5 for concessions. \nProgramme: \n\nLouise Vincent: Can we have an A\, please? (world premiere)\nAngela Elizabeth: Slater Sky Above the Clouds\nLouise Vincent: Open to Huge Light\nSarah Hennies: Growing Block\nCollaborative piece by CoMA Sheffield and workshop attendees: Single Numbers (world premiere)
