Volunteer Musicians Wanted for Music-themed Group in Sheffield for People Seeking Sanctuary
Are you interested in engaging with people from a range of other cultures who have been forced to flee their own countries? As part of a project to facilitate access of refugees and asylum seekers to classical music in Sheffield, we have set up a fortnightly group and are looking for any local musicians who might be willing to contribute (on a voluntary basis) to one of the sessions by playing some short pieces of music, chatting a bit about their instrument, the pieces they play etc.
Numbers are likely to be small and attendance unpredictable so volunteers need to be able to take this in their stride and go with the flow!
