Lunchtime Concert
1st February 2025 at 11:45 am - 12:30 pm
Free
Lucy Phillips (violin) teams up with Andrew Marples (piano) once again, this time in a programme designed to transport everyone to sunnier climes! They will begin with Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s ‘Four African Dances’, Op. 58, published in 1904. From there they travel to Spain, for Sarasate’s ‘Romanza Andaluza’, taken from his second book of Spanish Dances. The concert will conclude in Argentina, with a selection of tango music.
The concert is part of the fortnightly lunchtime concert series in Chesterfield Library, which is now in its 33rd season. Doors open at 11am. Free entry; retiring collection.
