Introduction to the Organ

Ever wondered how an organ works? Come to Sheffield Cathedral this Wednesday for a half-hour introduction to the instrument by Cathedral Director of Music Tom Daggett and organist James Mitchell. Discover the organ’s history and music through the centuries, as well as all of the sounds and colours the Cathedral organ can produce. Admission is free with a retiring collection for the Cathedral’s School Singing Programme.
