The Most Beautiful Piece of Music

Come and enjoy an evening of lovely, exciting music and song from the Westside Singers. A concert which will raise money for local charity ‘The Family Works’, featuring ‘Duo Curio’ – bassoon, percussion and electronics and excellent refreshments. But – what IS ‘The most beautiful piece of music’?
Come to Wesley Hall in Crookes on February 8th at 7.30 to find out. You are advised to buy tickets in advance as we do sell out.

Some great tunes and powerful music, including Mozart’s superb ‘Ave Verum Corpus’, an extract for Faure’s luminescent Requiem, a beautiful setting of words by Tennyson ‘ Crossing the Bar’ by American composer Donald McCullough as well as the Beach Boys’ ‘Barbara Ann’, ‘Only You’, Eric Whitacre’s gorgeous ‘Seal Lullaby’, the anti-apartheid classic ‘Senzenina’ and Keane’s ‘Somewhere Only We Know. Loads more on the menu of course (as well as those excellent cakes and scones), but to find out what – you’ll have to come!
