With cello, drones and field recording Liz Hanks presents her music inspired by the natural history of Meersbrook.

Based on the local and natural history of her neighbourhood in Sheffield, Liz Hanks’ album ‘Land’ (Hudson Records) explores both the loss of nature in the urban environment and forgotten natural worlds. She discovered that the now urban area of Meersbrook was once a beautiful valley called ‘Rush Dale’. Inspired by reading written accounts of this lost valley she created ‘Land’ in remembrance of these lost times and places. The music has been described as 'Stunning' by Elizabeth Alker (Radio 3 Unclassified) and ‘A really intriguing thing’ by Mark Radcliffe (BBC Radio 2 Folk Show).

Pefkin – Nature-inspired experimental songwriter – slowly unfolding psychedelic hymnals. Multi-instrumentalist and member of Meadowsilver, Burd Ellen and Electroscope.
