About Us

Classical Sheffield aims to bring together all of the classical music being made here in Sheffield and the people making it happen as we do our best to share it with the rest of the city. Sheffield is home to a wealth of talented orchestras, a variety of choirs, aspiring soloists, conductors, composers and everything in between and it is only here where you will find it all in one place. We've already held two hugely successful city-wide Classical Weekend Festivals and have introduced classical music to thousands of new audience members. Something exciting is happening here and we can't wait to see how the classical (and related!) music scene grows in the future.

Music Makers

Here you can find nearly every group actively making music in Sheffield. So if you're interested in getting involved in a new group, this is the place to be. Browse through our Music Makers and find the right one for you. If you're hosting your own recital or starting a new group, get in touch and we'll set up an account for you to publicise your events. Get involved with Classical Sheffield to see how you can contribute to, and benefit from, this unique movement. Contact Steve Terry, Classical Sheffield Administrator, for general enquiries, and the Website Helpdesk for access to the website to list events etc. Classical Sheffield members are invited to join one or more of the Subgroups whose role is to advance the business of Classical Sheffield. Programming suggestions for future festivals and activity are always welcome, and should be directed to Stewart Campbell, chair of the Programming Subgroup.

Whether you're completely new to classical music or a veteran, this is the most comprehensive guide to what's on in Sheffield.
