A Choral Meditation for Passiontide

The Sterndale Singers return to the glorious surroundings and acoustics of St Marie's Cathedral in the heart of Sheffield to bring you "O Vos Omnes" a Choral Meditation for Passiontide - a must for fans of choral music during the passiontide season.

The programme, being performed on the afternoon of Palm Sunday, will take us on the journey from Christ's triumphant entry to Jerusalem through to his crucifixion on Good Friday, through a range of choral music.

The programme features several settings of the text "O vos omnes" (O all ye that pass by, attend and see if there be any sorrow like to my sorrow) and sections of one of the finest unaccompanied settings of the mass ever written - the Mass for Four voices by William Byrd. Other composers represented include Weelkes, Tallis, Victoria, Bruckner, Lassus & Duruflé.

The concert, starting at 3pm, will run through without an interval and finish around 4.15pm.
