The Synesthetes
A concert of music by composers who hear in colour!
This concert from the Sheffield Symphony Orchestra showcases music from composers who identified as having synesthesia, where one sense is experienced through the medium of another. In the case of these composers, they all experienced colours or other stimuli through music and this influenced their writings. The concert also features popular Sheffield Symphony Orchestra soloist Ben Powell performing Amy Beach's piano concert. Come along and let us paint you a picture in your mind whilst listening to beautiful music.
