Adieu to Winter
Something to look forward to in the New Year: We will perform our usual eclectic mix of songs from a madrigal by Elizabethan composer John Wilbye and a motet by Bruckner, through music by Handel, John Rutter and Morricone to a wonderful and powerful piece from South Africa and ever popular songs like The Circle of Life and A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square. We are also delighted to welcome Steel City 5, a wind quintet, who will perform a refreshingly attractive programme to complement the choir’s music – music by Grieg, Schubert and some much-loved film music classics. You will hear some great tunes and enjoy some lovely and stirring music.
