Baslow Choir

BASLOW CHOIR was established in 1971 and currently has around 50 members, from as far away as Sheffield, Buxton, Chesterfield and Matlock. The Choir sings a wide range of music, from serious choral works to more light-hearted offerings, and we like to explore the lesser-known parts of the choral repertoire. As well as performing our three main concerts each year, we also participate in additional performances in support of charitable events in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire. Our Musical Director is Andrew Marples and our Accompanist is Carol Barnes.

Baslow Choir rehearses from September to June in Baslow Village Hall each Wednesday from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. If you are interested in joining this active and sociable choir you would be made very welcome. No audition is required to become a member, although some choral experience would be an advantage.
