CoMA Sheffield: Contemporary Music for All in Sheffield

CoMA Sheffield was formed online during lockdown. We had our first in person rehearsal in June 2021 and have been meeting monthly since September. We are ably led by composer Louise Vincent and much of what we play is written by members of the ensemble.

CoMA Sheffield is part of a national network of instrumental and vocal ensembles committed to making participation in contemporary music available to everyone. We have exciting plans for next year including working with composition students from Sheffield University as part of CoMA’s national Festival of Contemporary Music for All in March 2023.

How to get involved

We welcome players, composers and singers. All abilities are welcome, but you do need to be able to read music. Get in touch with sheffield@coma.org if you would like to get involved or would just like to know more about contemporary music. What we do will be shaped by our members.
