City of Sheffield Teachers’ Choir Appointment of a new Musical Director

The City of Sheffield Teacher’s Choir, established in 1968, is a non-auditioned 50 strong mixed-voice choir from all walks of life who sing a wide variety of music at their performances of at least 3 concerts per year plus ad-hoc sings at Christmas. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings, in the centre of Sheffield from early September through to early July. More information at and be found at: cityofsheffieldteacherschoir.org.uk.

After 34 years, our current Musical Director is retiring, and so the Choir is looking for someone to take over the reins from September. The successful applicant is required to uphold the high standards of singing achieved, as well as bringing new ideas and enthusiasm to enhance the Choir’s future.
