ST JOHN’S, RANMOOR has had a thriving musical tradition since the church’s consecration in 1879. There are two or three choral services each week sung by various combinations of the Choristers, Junior Choir and Adult Choir as well as monthly organ recitals and concerts given by members of the music team at St John’s as well as visiting musicians drawn by the beautiful acoustic and recently-restored Brindley and Foster organ, one of the finest in South Yorkshire.
The Choristers are our choir of children aged 8 upwards who sing services every Sunday. We are very fortunate to have such a talented and dedicated group and we would love to hear from any children who would be interested in joining them or any children from 5 upwards who might want to join the Junior Choir.
