The Venue

The aim of The Venue is to create a thriving Community & Performing Arts hub in Stocksbridge that will engage the people of the town and the wider district with a range of performing arts and entertainment facilities. The Venue is a creative and social focus for all sectors of the community , and makes a valuable contribution to developing a successful, sustainable community and stimulating the local economy.

The Venue offers a range of facilities. The Main Auditorium is a large multi purpose concert hall and stage for live performances, accommodating up to 300. In addition there is a function suite with acoustic soundboards, a range of associated conference/meeting/training and leisure/recreational spaces, and a full range of ancillary facilities including bar, catering and administration spaces. It is a refurbishment project (15000 sq ft) with some new build to the front (2000 sq ft) to create a new visual impact and entrance foyer.
