Whirlow Spirituality Centre
Attractive, secluded chapel venue with great acoustic for intimate gigs.
Whirlow Spirituality Centre entered the classical scene in Sheffield with a series of 5 intimate concerts in 2017.
Primarily a venue for retreats and events related to Christian spirituality, it is a beautiful, small venue (seating up to 60) that overlooks a peaceful garden. The lovely acoustic makes it a great location for chamber and other musical performances.
Whirlow has hosted a capella sacred singing - called We Who Sing, Pray Twice - for many years. It built on this in 2017, inviting concerts by The Muskoka Wind Quintet; The Hallam Sinfonia string quartet; Lucy Phillips (Violin) & Tom Owen (Piano); Chloe Saywell (Soprano), Matthew Redfearn (Trumpet), & Stephanie Pitts (Piano); Simeon Wood (entertainment using wind instruments).
We look forward to being part of Sheffield's great classical music programme in future.
